Warren Averett Announces New Members and Promotions

Warren, Averett, Kimbrough & Marino, LLC, Alabama's largest public accounting and business consulting firm, is pleased to announce that W. Wayne Dunn, Jr., CPA; Phillip E. Grice, CPA; J. Floyd Holliman, CPA; and Wendy W. Lacey, CPA, have been named Members and Directors of the Firm, and Hanny N. Akl, CPA, CFE and James R. Lazenby, CPA have been promoted to Senior Manager.
Wayne Dunn is a Member in Warren Averett’s audit practice and joined the Firm in 2008 after serving with the Birmingham office of an international accounting firm for 17 years. Wayne has extensive experience in directing and supervising audits of privately-owned businesses, not-for-profit organizations and publically held corporations. He has experience in a variety of industries including construction, retail, distribution and manufacturing, healthcare and technology. Wayne is a graduate of the University of Alabama where he received his B.S. and Masters in Accounting.
Phillip Grice is a Member in Warren Averett’s audit practice. Phillip joined the Firm in 1998 and has over 12 years experience in public accounting. He is part of the Firm’s Healthcare Provider Group and focuses his practice on audits, reviews and compilations of hospitals, nursing homes and related healthcare organizations. Phillip’s experience also includes agreed upon procedures, acquisitions and due diligence. He received his B.S. in Accounting and Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Troy University.
Floyd Holliman is a Member in Warren Averett’s tax practice and joined the Firm in 2007. Floyd formerly worked in the tax department of an international accounting firm and as a tax manager with a large publicly-traded company. He has over 18 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, due-diligence, transaction structuring and financing, accounting for income taxes, tax research and compliance and consulting. A significant focus of Floyd’s practice is in serving fast growth, venture-backed and publicly-traded companies in a variety of industries, including healthcare, automotive, manufacturing, distribution and technology. Floyd received his B.S. and Masters in Accounting from Auburn University.
Wendy Lacey has been with Warren Averett since 2003 and is a Member in the Firm’s tax practice. Wendy has 17 years of extensive tax experience, including 10 years with an international accounting firm, specializing in the tax compliance issues of large, multi-entity, multi-state public and private companies. She also practices with Warren Averett’s Financial Services Group and provides tax advisory services for many of the Firm’s banking and insurance company clients. Wendy is a graduate of Mississippi State University where she received her Bachelors of Professional Accountancy.
Hanny Akl has been with Warren Averett since 2006 and practices in the Firm’s audit practice.
Jim Lazenby has been with Warren Averett since 2000 and practices in the Firm’s Estate and Family area practice.
